Ireland’s Own is pleased to announce it is teaming up with the Irish phenomenon that is The Rose of Tralee Festival.

For the first time, two of Ireland’s oldest and most-loved national institutions have become partners, as we look forward to this year’s Festival, which takes place in Tralee in mid-August.

Welcoming the link-up, Seán Nolan, Editor, Ireland’s Own, said: “The Rose of Tralee is not only a hugely popular event in Ireland, regularly attracting in the region of 1.2m television viewers, but also reaches out to the Irish diaspora in seventy Rose Centres around the world.

“Likewise, Ireland’s Own also continues to be a link to the homeland for thousands of Irish overseas. We are publishing a Rose of Tralee-Ireland’s Own souvenir special which hits the shelves on August 11, that we know our readers will hugely enjoy.”

Anthony O’Gara, Executive Chairman of the Rose of Tralee International Festival, said: “We are delighted that Ireland’s Own, an iconic Irish traditional publication, has asked us to support their continued success by introducing them to our 70 Rose Centres around the world.

“Ireland’s Own buck the trend on the crowded shelf space occupied by legions of brash, attention-seeking offerings. They invoke a quieter more introspective time when people were a little more relaxed and at ease with the world and what they expected of it.

“Yet they continue to flourish after 110 years of uninterrupted publication, testament to the discerning independence and loyalty of their readership. I look forward reading this special edition to celebrate the Rose of Tralee International Festival 2014.
